Description This is my submission to Digital Flow s 8th art pack - Origins .

The photo was taken at Sumner beach in Christchurch, New Zealand. It was one of the better sunsets I have seen, and I have seen some good ones! I was standing on the rocks infront of Cave Rock, a naturally formed cave that fills up at high tide, formed from volcanic rock.

How suitable to have a firey sunset against some volcanic rock formations. Even before knowing for sure that it was volcanic rock, the image portrays the idea strongly enough for the viewer to immediately get the idea. Excellent composition (and shutter speed choice) - some nice contrast of the elements here.
