Description
Taken from Fern Hill in Queenstown which is in the south island of New Zealand.I took this last night after the storm had cleared... there was around 15cm of snow accumulated in around an hour. The clouds hung around for a while so I couldnt get any shots... until I noticed the clear skies before bed. I hopped in my car and drove up the road to one of my little spots to take this.
I thought it was a perfect opportunity to take my submission to the =PanoramaClub s competition Long Exposure Panoramas (my idea!)
Im happy to say that it won! No prizes just a feature with =PanoramaClub - Im just stoked on winning my first comp!
I also entered it into =MountainShots competition which I tied for first!
It is 8 photos over 2 levels, merged together using PTGui Pro.

Oh and by the way... its my 100th deviation!!

Amazing work.
This is probably the best panorama I've seen on DeviantArt. It is for sure the most technical panorama ever on this community and the shot is just incredibly well made.
Maybe that boat in the middle of the lake was not a good idea, but as far as I know it just doesnt matter.

Yeah it does annoy me a little now, but it was cold and at the time I thought It could be cool! I dont think it takes away from the image tho. It does make people look at it and think for a while tho!

Hee,hee. I haven't bought anything yet. I will take a look at the new shots. I really love the one I picked. But If I love one of the new ones more, then I will possibly pick one of them. Even if I don't pick one of the new ones it doesn't mean I didn't love the shot. I just probably had a hard time choosing again. That will make me default to the original choice I made.
But I will take a look.

Cool cool... sorry theyre not up yet! I have totally been wasting my time struggling with a spherical panorama taken yesterday at Castle Hill. It will look quite good if I can get it right! I want to make it into another of my cubes!

Their very beautiful but I am going with the side to side panaramic view and snow. I really love that one.
I hope you aren't disappointed. It doesn't mean I don't think the new pictures aren't beautiful. I just love that particular picture. I have been wanting it every since I decided on it.
