I was looking through my recent photos and found the ones of this church I took at night on the way down to Queenstown last week... the same trip I took Exploding Sky , Twililght Reflection and Twilight Reflection 2 ...I thought the photos didn't turn out, but after some adjustments, they really surprised me!
The church is on the edge of lake Takapo, in Tekapo... 1/2 way between Christchurch and Queenstown.
I also have Twilight Church 2 which is similar in black and white.

Great work Mark, nice long exposure and great composition. In relation to the lighting you could try a little bit of mild dodging/burning or a masked curve to even it out a little on the darker areas of the church, but I actually don't mind it the way it is. Fabulous textures in it!!

Nice photo with a very nice cloud 'element'.
I see you've used a flash to make the photo, it makes the lighting on the front a bit harsh, maybe a long exposure might give the same effect with a better balance and softer light.

This was a 30 second exposure... i was losing the foreground so used the flash with the long exposure. It is possibly a little harsh yes... better than without tho! Most of the lighting is moon lit however!

i like the shot man. lighting looks fine to me, though, im thinking a bit more lighting could be needed imo. dont know much bout photography :]
