Just the quite before the storm before I submit something of worth before Christmas hopefully, been far too long.So for the filler today some screens from Saints Row: the Third with me and the Muse. Really fun game. Gotta have some fun before I get my hands on Skyrim and snap the PS3 controller in half because of the game breaking lag, keep up the good work Bethesda.
Anyways you can blame SR3 for the art drought. First time I haven’t had homework in months, I’m livin' it up a little.
I quite like the character creator now, the characters look a hell of a lot better in comparison to SR2, although I’m certain a number have taken displeasure at the streamlining, but the trad off is worth it in my opinion.
Although stylised versions of ourselves I like the results, especially seeing as how I mainly copied the inputs for Ali from SR2. Couldn’t get her hairdo exactly, the funny thing is the one featured is basically the Bieber Bob, and it got worse as you could find her wardrobe at the Hipster clothes shop.
For me it’s if I were to go on a diet and go to the Gym, because people keep telling me that I have the potential to be very good looking, just have to get up off my ass and stop playin' video games.

Awesome! personally I'm a little disapointed at the character customisation (Can't mess with your characters outfits as much as you can in Saints Row 2) But it still kicks arse. But I do beleive I shall be drawing my 4 bosses, seeing as how I play offline and can't do a screenshot.

The customization feels a little light compared to SR2. Least clothing wise. They seemed to have made it look better but also made things more simplistic

Well as I said up top, overall your character looks better. In the last game I didn't bother making a dude because the clothes looked weird on him, and minimalism looked better for the girl.
But the clothes fit on them better this time to me, so whilst there may be less options, they do feel superior to SR2.

True, I'm not disappointed. It all looks better anyway and gameplay is an improvement. I'm still enjoying the game and I can't wait for more DLC. I'm hoping when they release the Syndicate costume packs. I can take the outfits apart. I want to use the female Morningstar coat on my character. It looks really cool.

I think you can already get something like it, at the Leather & Lace Shop. You can also unlock a Decker outfit from playing the assasin side missions.

Yeah I know about those, but I did a comparison of the one from Leather & Lace to the Morningstar one and the texture is different. Also I believe the Syndicate outfit pack offers Specialist costumes too. Which is cool cause I'd like to use the Decker's Specialist outfit.

the character creation in SR3 added some stuff but took away some stuff too. So for me it broke even when compared to SR2.
And at the end of the day I'm still left with the question: why did they choose to make "this" an option but not "that"? Example- u can have reptile facepaint, why not a full-body option so it actually looks cool rather than "i just got back from the carnival"

I think that's where a lot of peoples issues arose, with how they've streamlined the whole game, from customization, to how you activate story missions, and collect your money from laundered business. To me that stuff really improved it, but Im to understand it took away from the classic open gangsta world playing experience.
To me that was small little details that were there and I would probably never use myself (like the funky body colours).
But I would be remiss if Ali wasn't hurtin' for a pair of skinny jeans, or the leather pair Shaundi wears.

Really all my problems with SR3 would be fixed with DLC, one pack that brought back Fight Club and another that expanded the character and vehicle customization.
Maybe I should switch over to PC games so as to take advantage of mods

Personally I found the Mellee combat a bit weak, especially when you were forced into it at Muderbrawl.
Frankly I can't see what more you could do with the vehicle customizing, theres plenty of depth there already.

I can't have an EMU with huge tires nor can I have flame decals on any of the vehicles.

My sisters boyfriend said I have the potential to be very "tanked".
When women say you could look alright it's not very weird, but when it's dudes it's always sort of an 'okay' response.
