Description
Long time no see deviant peeps, if you've been paying attention to my Tumblr, the you've no doubt seen this baby in production. So its now that I bring you the final product.For those that want some context, this is my entry into Digital Extremes Codex Art contest, where the reward is some in game molla and to have your work featured in the game fanart section.
More or less I decided to draw up my favourite frame with her helmet off, as out of all of the frames, hers has the richest history. So I decided to draw her breakout scene. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go play the update. Exquisite timing.

Out of all the Warframes, Excalibur and Ember have some of the most interesting lore to them along with Valkyr.
Excalibur is also my top favorite in the game.

Warframe does have a bit of a lore deficit, doesnt bother me as much due to it primarily being multiplayer focused.
I gave him a try, didn't stick for me personally, his jump ability was fun and useful though. I've spent a little to aquire a number of frames though, I tend to waver between; Nyx, Valkyr and Nova.

So, this is absolutely fantastic. Awesome work as you always seem to do, love how her eyes, and the way her mouth is really show exactly how F*CKING ANGRY she is. Which is good. However, what worries me is this. DE's stance on the Warframes never removing their helms, to keep the mystery of what is underneath, seems like it would stop your art from actually winning the contest, simply so that DE can keep their mystery lore in place, despite how awesome your art is. For this reason, I think your entry might get better reception if you made a version with her helmet on. This isn't saying anything bad about your art, it's great, but just a worry of mine considering DE's tendency to shut down anything against their personal ideas and plans for the 'lore' of the game.

Well the fan-art codex entries in game already have basically the frames with their helmets off, so I don't think I have to worry about my interpretation being a misrepresentation.
I'm pretty sure I've lost anyway, pretty stellar stuff in the thread, and there's bound to be more till the cutoff point in a day or two. So ya.
