Extract from Dancing Dinosuar Games.comHello all and we are back at work after our time at GCAP , very informative for all those involved. Definitely looking forward to GCAP and PAX next year, cheers and kudos to those who diligently worked hard to get it down here.
There were a couple of different style iterations, but the general layout and motif hasn't changed since inception. In the middle is your standard cross-hair and heads up display (with shields, health, special ammo and standard ammo). The stylistic intent was to replicate the display from a fighter jet with all your main information focused in the center of the screen where all the action will be taking place.
The bars down the bottom are your boost gauge and the speedometer that fills up as you increase your speed.
Top right is the passenger cam and mission info, although the cam may be used if somebody is calling you and asking you to do something for them. There's also the total amount of money you've collected, the time limit for the fare and what you'll acquire for the completion of said fare.
The map went through a couple of iterations before we settled on a circular display, whilst a more angular design would have fit better with the layout, a circle conveys the information better. To the side of and below the map are the compass and altimeter respectively for extra navigation information, so you'll know exactly where your destination is.
We're edging closer towards our finished alpha and we hope to have a lot more of the UI completed in future.

Looks awesome, but like someone else mentioned looks a little crowded. Maybe remove the frame and the fuel or health or what ever the meters on the cross hair to the side.
Other than that looks like a really easy to use interface.

Look awesome and simple - there is every element that should be on hud, nothing less, nothing more that could distracted.
