Excellent! I have met the man who wrote this show. Great Portrait, Tim Curry was the perfect choice for the role

You met Richard obrian? That's pretty awesome, and yes, there can be only one Frank n Furter and that is Tim Curry. He carries the charles atlas seal of approval

Richard O'Brien is from Hamilton where I live, we have a giant bronze statue in the main street of him in the spaceman outfit (heels and garter and all) at the end of the movie.... god knows how they got it council approved!
Besides that I find facebook can work well as an art community, why not start a page and invite others to join?

It IS finished and it's... hot! Love this. Dr has all of his unique charm here. The textures are looking smooth, great shading, the subject suits your style really well, the pearls look just right... surely you must be pleased with this one...right?

It has a certain, naive charm, I must admit

Naive charm, you say... You're a funny one.

Have you got your next project picked out already? I have a half finished winter triptych coming up. I also did a lame oil painting last weekend. I'm calling it a WIP and not sure if it's ever going to anything other than that. It was confirmed once again. I'm not cut out for oils. They drive me nuts. But I'm not giving up though. I will finish the oil paints I have bought if it kills me. The acrylics are just so much better suited for my temperament; dry fast, blend quickly and clean up swiftly... I guess like my things nice and snappy.

I did oils for years but will start using acrylic as soon as I am happy with my drawing again.

Next project...yeah..started work again yesterday but hopefully will be doing the entire rocky cast for a while, cant do frank and not the rest, that would just be wrong LoL

I hear what you're saying about the oils, you could always use Liquin [link] if the strain is too much for you

Check out Alexei Antonov, www.[link] you HAVE to check out his painting tutorials, it will blow you away. Personally I dont care for his subject matter but his technique is flawless.

Oooh, more of Rockys! Fabulous! Can't wait to see which charater you'll tackle next.

Liquin... interesting. I'm going to study that further yet.

Ooooh! Yep, blown away to very little bits and pieces. This Antonov is crazy. I see what you mean about the subject matters, yeah, not my cup of tea either, but insane technique... wickedly insane. I'd probably have to paint for roughly 376 years non stop to achieve that kind of levels. Holy heck. Thanks for the links!!
