Fighting is countered by Flying, Dragon is countered by itself and Ice, while Fire is countered by Water and Ground. As long as my Steels have moves of that variety (which they do by tm, breeding, or otherwise) then that's an easy counter.

Yep! And yes indeed lol. It took a bit of pre-planning (And I spent a ridiculous amount of time on PokeAmie) but it worked. Just make sure all your pokemon have some sort of boosting item attached + have movepools that compliment each other and cover weaknesses. Example: My Aggron has the Heavy Metal ability. I gave it Heavy Slam specifically because it gets STAB damage plus it's the heaviest pokemon that can use the move, so it often gets 100+ base damage from using it.
