I'd say it's a little bit too bright, not really contrasted and so does not attract this much attention. The fragment seems to be edited in a different way, so this is why it gets you. Apart from that, I'd say, the 'fragment' looks er kinda closer / bigger so that you can see the face really well. And it is so beautiful and detailed, contrasted and well-mastered.
This is just my opinion, but it seems to be the reason for me
