The Japanese phrase at the bottom of the tutorial is "Genki yo!" It can be translated as "I'm full of energy, I feel great, etc."

mark, why does it say on the book "from the creator of Akiko"? Wouldn't you be more well known for Miki Falls? Just wondering

Ha! Yeah I wasn't sure why they did that except that maybe more Akiko books have been sold over the years than Miki Falls. Certainly Akiko was never drawn in a real manga style.
