Description
Human brain.Volume rendered from T1 weighted MRI, an average of 27 scans (Colin27, Montreal Neurological Institute ) and its conjunction with Brodmann area s (colored, at right).
More info, higher resolution, and stereo pairs . Also see an animated rotation that blends these colorings.
I'd love to make a mold with which to caste this using crayons -- a multi-colored brain that you could draw with.
Rendered with Space Software .
Here's an article about how visualization of brain activity influences judgement of scientific results: Brain Images Make Cognitive Research More Believable
Science Daily — "People are more likely to believe findings from a neuroscience study when the report is paired with a colored image of a brain as opposed to other representational images of data such as bar graphs, according to a new Colorado State University study. ..."

Not really, I just think brains are beautiful things. I do use these kinds of data and templates for projects, as I have recently been working at an MRI research facility ([link] )
I like your cortical stained sections, by the way.
Sorry for the late response, my brain is going slow.
