All of your pencil images have very subtle and effective shading. I really like the sense of weight and shape that you brought to the warforged, and the beautiful costuming that you dressed the elf in. I guess that I also like that you didn't dress the elf as modestly as you could have.

Thanks, Malcolmd
I dressed the elf like that, based on her back-story. Something about being an entertainer and a spy/assassin of sorts.
I only wish that the scanner I used at the time was better, because, for some reason, the pencil scans are not as good as the actual drawing on paper... I am looking into fixing this issue.

I have the same problem, and I don't know if it can be rectified. I think that it's because the media (particularly graphite) that we use on paper are reflective, so they bounce light back at the scanner unpredictably. I also tend to leave trenches in the paper from pressing hard, but perhaps you have a lighter hand than I do. XD

My ultimate conclusion is that works that are meant to be displayed digitally should be constructed digitally, but I'm glad that you didn't draw such a conclusion before you posted your excellent pencil and paper pics.

Simply love the big guy!
Can't stop imagening the weight of it all when he'll wield the giant sword.
