I see what you mean and believe me,I'm not saying He-man was terrible!.Skeletor is one of my favorite villains ever!I think you could agree though when I say the show was super cheesy.

I agree with you about the 80's Filmation cartoon, it's really cheesy. But this is not the only incarnation of He-Man. The 2002 cartoon was great, and the current DC comic named He-Man The Eternity War, from which the artwork above came from, is awesome! It's darker and far more serious story as you can see from how Skelly is depicted here.
