Oh no, when you know that the meteor who made disappear the dino was just 5 km (3 miles) large and plunged the earth into a nuclear winter for more than a century...
The speed must also be taken into consideration, if a mass such as in my image strikes the earth at about 8 mi per second and through the rocky cloak, nothing remains of the planet. Speed and mass do not mix...
Thanks a lot for your comment.

There's more forms of Armageddon, like nuclear wars/nuclear meltdowns, airborn diseases created by man, crustal poleshifts, rise of artificial Intelligences, Solar Stroms, gamarays, corona mass ejections, emps and much more.

Of course, we can find a lot of things to destruct our world, but this one is just the Ultimate, and not from the Mankind.

Also a X-flare from "Knowing" would obviously do that same
penetrate a mile into the earth crust burning the earth's surface and destroying the ozone layer.
Knowing 2009 is a science fictional thriller.

Magnifiquement terrible !
