Beautiful morning photo. I know this hut and the surrounding area very well.
Are you are a Nordic skier? You might find it hard to imagine a depth of snow so great around this hut that I was able to ski across the top of Wallace's! The snow was level with the roof ridge! This was in 1981, when we got the most snow build-up on the High Plains that I have ever experienced!
We were staying at Wilkinson Lodge (our Ski lodge) which used to be about 400 metres down from Wallace's. Unfortunately it burnt down in 1992 due to an accident with a gas stove. A great loss to our Club.

Not much has changed here Mark. Haven't been out shooting much lately either - too busy with other things leading up to Christmas

Great shot! Ironically a friend of mine was just showing me a picture of this exact same hut on here phone today and I immediately started to think about what I could do with that location at night. Must get up there shooting with you as soon as possible mate but it might be a bit hard this month with the festive season going on.
