Based on Mabel's reaction to "the talk" in Carpet Diem, he probably doesn't know enough to make inappropriate drawing or find any reason to draw anything relating to private areas in a humorous manor. (Except for butts. We all laughed at those as kids...)

You're right, he isn't immature, but he's also not real. Some of my best friends are around 12 years old (I'll take this moment to point out that I am 15), and as cool as they are, I'd be lying if I didn't say every other sentence out their mouth was some kind of innuendo. Oh yeah, and last I checked, they are real.

He's a realistic representation of plenty of kids his age. Believe it or not, not EVERY 12-year-old is obsessed with fart jokes and penis jokes (especially not girls, obviously).Β

I can add that I knew a 12 year old boy (now 13) who was not obsessed with making innuendos out of everything. And it wasn't that he didn't know what they were, either. (I blame KJ and Joe...)

Maybe it's because it would be out of character. He's a smart kid and he wouldn't do that. It fits more to Dipper from Carpet Diem, a.k.a the flanderized version of himself. Also, it's a kid's show but that is obvious.

And just like regular bears, they are known to be sentient furry beasts who will evolve into Orcs and overthrow the humans as the dominate species of earth! (Thankfully for us, but unfortunately for them...and us...they never counted on the possibility of the time baby will be released in the process of global climate change. This doesn't mean that you should underestimate them though.
