And perhaps I'm blowing it out of proportion because you don't know me and perhaps I just had a VERY crappy day and then had someone be an asshat enough to call me a "spoiled brat." A spoiled brat who for your information, NEVER HAD A FATHER OR MOTHER and had the strictest damn guardians who did not allow me to have a phone until I was 18, who allowed me one hour on the computer a day until I was 16, who would not let me watch TV ever, who told me every day that I would never amount to anything and that I was worthless, I was told every day by the kids at school that I should kill myself, yes, that absolutely makes me a "spoiled brat." There are a very small handful of things I don't take kindly to and one of them is being falsely accused, which is what you did by calling me "a spoiled brat." I am one of the nicest people you will ever meet but you wouldn't know that because you happened to push one of my very few buttons and set me off. Yes, I'm being a bitch right now, because you felt the need to assume you know me. Your entire comment was laughable until that last part. Before you just go around insulting people behind a screen, try to remember that no matter how wrong you feel they are, they have FEELINGS and the things you say are unwarranted. This whole god damn argument is because you called me a spoiled brat. You. Don't. Fucking. Know me. And you could not be more wrong. But go ahead, feel what you must, assume you know me and how I am. Go right ahead. I am no one to stop you after all. I'll continue to have opinions and breathe and waste space too because I CAN, because I'm such a SPOILED BRAT.
Now, as for the ACTUAL reason the entire argument started, what I personally interpret from the finale and from this comic, is that the journal is burned, Bill really doesn't need to kill her. He got what he wanted. He doesn't desire to kill. He might do it, yes, he is a demon after all, but he's seriously a relatively civil one. He's backhanded and lies, and he isn't afraid to get his hands dirty once in a while, but he really isn't pure violence. For the most part he settles things with words and threats. He had many chances to do much worse but preferred to settle things as civilly as possible (unlike how you and I are resolving this). He could have just killed all the people instead of turning them into stone and making a throne. They could have been dead and then frozen as stone, dead bodies. He likes their suffering, yes, by saying "a throne of massive human agony" proves it, but what he really revels in is chaos, confusion, and fear. Not death.
Perhaps in this instance, if Dipper had believed this also, (that Bill wouldn't) he may have refused to burn the journal and called Bill on his bluff, and Bill may very well have gone through with killing her out of sheer anger for Dipper's adamancy. He may have intended to draw a little blood to scare Dipper into believing it was a real threat and accidentally gone too far, or like I said, just gone through with it as Dipper refused. But once the journal was burned, he wouldn't have a reason to do it. He strikes deals, and it's pretty much the same with his threats. They're just unspoken deals. "Do what I want and I won't do this" is basically the unspoken deal in his threats.
But you seem convinced he is bad enough to the core that he would kill without batting his eye if not given what he wants, and perhaps you may be right, which I had already stated had you bothered to pay attention, that you may be right. And I also said that you are entirely entitled to your opinion, but that you obviously won't consider anyone else's and I was dropping out of the argument. Now, I'm going to go crawl to a corner and play the victim and bitch and moan and find some more posts to "rant and rave" on. Cuz you know, that's totally what I do all the time. You would know after all.
