Ford could come across as an unappreciative dick (Stan spent most of his life getting his brother back), but he it's somewhat justified. As someone who was in the portal for as long as he was, he knew the damage opening it could do, and thought Stan was being very callous with the portal itself.
It's depth like this that makes Gravity Falls awesome.

Oh, I'm not talking about the portal. I'm talking about letting him get kicked out of their house. And only calling him after god knows how many years in order to tell him to get lost.

I do agree with you to a certain extent, but with the first point he had felt that Stan ruined his life at the time he was getting kicked out (granted he ultimately wouldn't be the one to ruin his life, but Ford still felt betrayed by Stan).
Also while I agree it was dickish to not speak to him for 10 years, I don't think he was just telling Stan to get lost. Ford still felt Stan to be one of the few people he still trusts, when he called Stan to take the journal as far away as he can, so they could've potentially rekindled their brotherhood after Stan did what Ford wanted him to.
And I just remembered how douchey it was when Ford just assumes that Stan did nothing worthwhile with his life in the past 10 years in spite of having not spoke to him during that time.

"The next Edison" That right there is an insult. Edison was a terrible person who stole his ideas from other people. A more fitting phrase would be, "The next Tesla".Β Unless of course, that was a joke about how out of touch Stan is with the history of Science. But not very many people would have caught that if it were.

Ouch... you hit me in the feels, but it's a sweet moment. I kinda hope this happens in the show cause Ford needs look past all the bad and see how much his brother does care for him. He cared enough to risk the fate of the world if it would bring him back and he got no thanks for it.
