It's a gloved hand holding a WWII US helmet. The part that you see in this shot is the inside of the helmet...the liner. Glad you like it.

Oh yeah, I knew that I meant in the sense of the aura about the shot, there is something about that I can't put my finger on.

When I took the shot, several meanings were intended. Even I, the photographer, am slightly confused about the aura of this shot. I guess that's part of its charm.
