Man, this is just so incredibly well done — it's literally giving me goosebumps.
The composition alone of the characters is fantastic enough alone, but the style you've depicted the scene with, and the colours used... I'm in total awe.
It's hard to pick out my favourite part, but I'd have to say that Totoro's almost-crystalline like face and the Laputa soldier in the background just leave my jaw on the flaw.
Seriously, wonderful wonderful job with this. Congratulations on the DD!

This is gorgeous! I love the Totoro and the cleverly hidden robot from Laputa. The Kokodamas(?) and also exceptionally cute! The little spirits from Princess Mononoke Beautiful work!

that mask guy is a character in a cartoon called "Spirited Away". He must be a japenese god, as far as i know... I could be wrong tho.

I'll be at Long Beach ComicCon (CA) Halloween weekend. If you know someone who is going have them pick up a print for you. Unfortunately, at this time, that's the only way you can get one...at a show I'll be at. I don't sell prints online and am way to backed up to mail stuff out. I'm really sorry. Bought your print of this piece at SWCV and just took it to the frame shop for matting and framing. I picked out a metal frame in "cyber green" that picks up on the great colors. It will have a spot in our house where I can see it everday....thanks for such a beautiful piece!

Thanks to everyone for your comments! I've been such a fan of Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli for quite some time now and It was a pleasure to (finally) express my appreciation and affection for these beloved, heartfelt stories. I'm humbled and grateful that other admirers of these subjects find my work pleasing. I'm inspired to give some serious thought about doing another Ghibli inspired piece sometime in the future.
