A closer look at Grasshopper The Terrible.This is a satelite photo taken from the space station.
I, with my damaged camera and missing beard, enlarged the photo to examine the enemy within his fortress.

I came up with, what I thought was an imaginitive description of how he jumped as I was taking the picture, and landed in my beard. The beast attacked... etc.

Good close up... I would have liked to see the grasshopper contrast more with the flower, but it's a great shot...You're lucky he didn't give you a black eye.

Dear sir. that really is very beautiful. The detail is at a very fulfilling level, with such a clear shot of texture composition. It, as so many other things of yours, is soothing. Your stuff is beginning to develope a "feel"

I remember telling people I wanted to work on a Norman Rockwell feel with my photomanipulations. That didn't exactly pan out. I just can't bring myself to include only photos. A photo is a moment in time. That IS an achievement. However, I have about a 1% "great" photo rate.
I can't seem to constrain myself with one medium. If a picture needs a graphic to make a statement, it's getting a graphic! Likewise, if a painting needs a photo.
It's still me trying to express myself.

Secret - I shaved, the grasshopper didn't really cost me my beard, but I am missing it now. And my camera lens cover wouldn't open properly even before. Shhh

a beard is like an extra appendage i understand your distress, not that i've ever had a beard mind you. my camera's just plain broken so you're miles ahead of me in the photography division.

poodles are shaved so that they can swim and hunt and such. i say, you strap bits of cloth on your face until you start to feel comfortable again in proper society, since wearing bits of cloth is frowned upon in proper society. you'll get through it, i'm rooting for you.
