Goto80 is a friend of mine and likes that video and I am allowed to use his song for this video so you can’t delete that video, deviantart mods.Music video tribute to goto80’s catchy song „Comsten“. WARNING! Don’t watch this if you are an epileptic because it will give you seizures without a doubt. If you think you are strong enough watch the video with your lights off (I couldn’t handle it in full screen and lights off). It took me more than 2 years to finish this video and I am rather surprised it took me that long and I am glad (and a bit proud of myself) I am finally done. I picked this song because 1) it’s catchy as hell 2) I love it 3) goto80 rocks 4) chiptunes rock in general 5) I always wanted to animate a song but they were all too long so I am surprised one of the shortest songs I could find still took me that long 6) the song is just so full of power and it doesn’t have any lyrics which tell me what’s going on so I could illustrate and animate whatever I felt like was going on in the song. A big reason why it took me so long could be because Adobe Flash can be (and actually is) pretty buggy so a big NO THANKS to Adobe for selling overpriced software that’s full of bugs. you know people from deviant art tend to delete all my work and animations claiming i would break any copyright laws even though i don't and i have got permissions for the songs and sounds i am using. it's a bit silly. also i didn't know Anamanaguchi yet so thanks for mentioning them. I've youtubed them and I quite like what I hear. Cool stuff.

yeh nice to see you had to deal with the da nazis yourself already. its just silly how they act. its a freaking PARODY so actually you are allowed to use it. they don't know too much about copyright laws or laws in general. just about how to act like nazi pricks which is just so annoying. good thing they didnt ban you or shit for using it as your avatar.

i agree. there are a lot of quite terrible things going on here on deviant art but i dont think there is anything you can do about it. like just shots of genitals being daily deviation or super famous artists with millions of page views getting two daily deviations in one week while unpopular but skilled artists (i always feel so sorry for them when i visit their page) get no attention at all. its not fair.

have you heard about those hackers who hacked a forum for epileptic people? they posted a lot of flashing gifs on the forum and everybody would spaz out and some had to go to hospital. i wish they would have posted comsten. no, really.... at first i thoght it was a comon animation, maybe a bit funny or cute somehow... but when i already seen the first half of the movie i realise it was marvoluos. the characters and the music together are great.. congrats!!!

thank you VERY much because so many people are like "eeew...*BARF*...this SUCKS". i remember how i wanted to show it to some "friend"...he left the room. i showed it to some other friend...that was the last day i ever spoke to him. i always tried to reach him after that. on the phone, left messages. nothing. i can only reach his parents. im like "can he call back?" but he never does. so comsten shocked him that badly that he doesnt want to have ANYTHING to do with me anymore...oh well lol

That one really shocks people but it’s true. Now you have to bear in mind I didn’t work on it 24/7. Sometimes only a few hours in a month or I just added a few more frames in one week. So overall there were many breaks in between then I went back to it and was like “damn you have to finish that one”- took a break again and eventually came back to it until I was finally done. It just feels good to finish something after it has been sleeping unfinished on your hard drive for such a long time.

I know exactly what you're saying. This summer (or perhaps earlier) I'm going to be filming my first short film. I've been working on a robot costume for it for about three or four months now, thing is I've only worked on it about once or twice durring each said month. So I guess in reality, it will really only take a few hours to make.

i thought all you need is a box you can put over your head and then you draw some robot face on it. if you want to be very cool you wrap tin foil around your box and draw a robot face on it afterwards. whats the story going to be like? will it be one of those movies "robots dont have feelings" and then somebody breaks the robot's heart and it will cry
