Based on true events (slightly exaggerated though XD). Anyway, this is what it feels like when people suddenly ask you to show them your mad art skillz and then you draw a crappy looking doodle... I bet I'm not the only one who's experienced this!
Enjoy this short little comic! It was fun to make, I really had to take a break from other projects and this one didn't take too long. I hope you guys like it!

I'm usually in my school's library and doodling, but then one of my friends spits me drawing... They're always like, "Draw something cool!!", and I'm like, *runs away*... xD

I once had a LARGE fanbase when I did a (quite horrible, and plus being about an overrated mediocre game series) fnaf ask, but people commented constantly, and never let up, I couldnt deal with the stress and it became a nightmare as it took my life, I said I didnt wanna do it, and pretty much everyone left....because they evidently, only liked me for my crappy artwork and not my things I put effort into....turns out thats what the DA community is, do what we want or we say your selfish and crap...

Yeah dude, that's the sad truth. People like fanart way more than original art... But if you don't want to keep making it you should just stop! I think you made the right decision. An aritst is not a machine who makes what people want to see, you should always be in control and create what makes you happy. That's not selfish, that's the only way to not go insane.
I think I've had a similar problem. My Dad-A-Knight comic has gotten quite popular and I felt really really bad for letting people wait so long for the next page. I considered cancelling the comic.
But it was a lot of fun to write and I really liked it. Even though it's just fanart it's still something that I made, many of my own ideas and character redesigns were used in it. So while I'd rather see one of my original comics be this successful, I'm still happy this comic is getting so much attention. And thanks to fanart my original works are getting some attention too! So it's not all that bad, it's just hard to get noticed in this community but most people here are really nice.
So in short, I think it works best when people discover you through your fanart (that also contains some of your own ideas and characters) and then they might just stay for your original stuff.
Or you can make your own art so amazingly good that everyone falls in love with it immediately but that's REALLY tough.

i told them i wanted money for their thing, and they walked off right away
