Oh... HECK YEAH! This one looks awesome, I think it's my best drawing yet!
This was requested by SuperAbachiBro and jacobmester wanted to see Rayman and Sonic fight so I made Sonic do this awesome drop kick to Rayman's head.
This drawing was partially inspired by drawings from other deviants: SuperAbachiBro , C-Studios and EarthGwee . Check out their awesome stuff!

If DLC is a thing (which it should be as it is a great opportunity to include content people have wanted), then Rayman must be one of the characters.

Lol WOW, dude! We must be having the same brains or something! I'm about to upload a Rayman in Smash Bros drawing too (albeit not in Band Land, but in a Jibberish Jungle type area) !I feel kinda bad now! Great minds think alike I guess!
That aside, this is a gorgeous piece! The characters and colors really POP OUT here! Amazing work!

I saw the YouTube channel GameXplain talk about the new Rayman trophy that Sakurai announced for Smash Bros Wii U/3DS and I would have to agree that Rayman really isn't as classic as the other 4 when compared to the other iconic characters. Think about it, they all started out with their first games being 2D, whereas Rayman's first game was in 3D if I'm correct? He just hasn't really hit that "classic" point unlike the other 4 because they've been around longer than him. I'm not really a huge Rayman fan but it would be nice to see him in Smash Bros Wii U/3DS, along with a lot of other people's dream characters like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the dragon. Sorry guys but imho Rayman really isn't quite ready for Smash Bros. just yet, but hopefully in the future he will be playable.

Uhm nope, his first game was an amazing 2D platformer with revolutionary graphics! Just look at some screenshots, the spritework is beautiful.
It was insanely good for its time and very popular when it came out.
Rayman has been around for a very long time now... Would you call Crash Bandicoot classic? Rayman's older than him.
He has also had games on nearly every gaming platform there is and almost all of his games received incredibly positive reviews.
Rayman even had Mario and Luigi costumes in his last game, Rayman Legends. I don't think Nintendo would let any game character wear Mario's iconic costume.

Even still, Compare Rayman's Resume to the 4 big guns in Smash. Most of Rayman's games were remakes of the first Rayman & frequently revamped Rayman 2. And after a LONG hiatus of Rayman (Due to the Rabbids, like 'em, but i respect WHY Rayman fans diss them & was better separating the two.) I'm not saying I don't want Rayman in, it'd be a HOOT to have him included but he's really not as Iconic as a lot of people believe/want him to be, but that's not to say he's not a great gaming character. Personally? If Rayman is NOT Playable, or at least an Assist even, I'm more happy with the fact Smash Bros. RECOGNIZES him.

I think he's pretty iconic though but I respect your opinion. With the games' release next month we'll find out soon enough if he makes the roster!

Oh true, true, if Rayman's in, I'd be all for it! If not? Well, he's a Trophy, he got respects in a VERY highly rated game! I say it's almost a Win-Win regardless!
