For those who don't know, Spore is a rad game where you can design your own creature and destroy a planet's ecosystem by wiping out every other species. Well, I mean, you can also befriend everyone. But who does that?

It's basically "who's that Pokémon", but with a monstrosity instead of something cute

Ha! I remember Spore! I played the crap out of it when I was little. Good times.
And yes, I did kill everything in my path. Mainly because befriending other species was actually a weak point in the game as it was way too tedious and boring... At least as far as remember it.

Ah, Spore! That game gives me a lot of nostalgia, I loved that game! Though I still have it I fear that it will lagg my computer like in the old times...but after have seen the episodes I can't hide the fact that I want to play it again haha

Grass-Sweater the Dark matter flavoured Pizza apex predator. It was definitely funny haha. I would like to see more of it...though that being said I don't feel as interesing the other states in spore past creature state but it could be funny anyways!
By the way, you mentioned if there were some kind of hypothetical battling game where you can create your fighter...Well, I don't know nothing exactly like that but it reminded me that there are a Wii Spore game with story mode. I didn't play it too much but it was interesing

Great! And well the Wii Spore game, if my memory doesn't fail, was in a settling like the creature state but creatures talk and all that stuff and from the sky start falling meteors that enable the creatures to evolve but with them also come some short of evil aliens. Your character also comes from a meteor but you're basically the hero that can get parts and evolve...and stuff happen, I don't remember the storyline haha.
What I remember is that it had dancing battles and true battles, but unlike the original spore these happen in a little circular zone whenever you engage in these. If you wanted to challenge any creature to a battle (I remember that depending of the NPC is one type or other) you could kick them until they get annoyed...There was some things more but yeah, it was odd haha, but I had fun making a lobster that could kick the crap out NPCs.
