Description
Private commission, posted with permission .. pencil on A4 Bristol. The original reference was not chosen by me and it was taken on a mobile (sigh) A lot of artistic license was used to try to turn it into the best i could. Anyway, they loved it and that's what counts. I like the way she (Chantelle) is holding on tight to her great grandmothers hands. Updated after a couple of minor changes.Related content

Thanks, they are not easy .. i think because it's hard to read their faces and everything is out of proportion, i had to change the cheeks and chin on this one twice

What's not to like? I'm sure they love it! I know I certainly do! I have photos on my mobile that I wish were taken by a real camera, but I don't carry a real camera with me every were I go, so the camera phone does a pretty good job in a pinch for spontaneity. However, it's not easy to take pics without shaking a bit and making it a tad fuzzy. So that is why I am so impressed with this piece, cuz I know how hard it is to recreate art from a mobile phone pic, especially when one draws freehand from it. You deserve praise for a job well done, Mark! :0)

Very nice, one minor point in my opinion: the grandmothers chest looks kind of 'flat', I mean, 'structureless'. Good job on the kid's eyes, they really speak

Thank you. Thanks for pointing out the problem, i was having one of those "can't see the wood for the trees " on this one. Now i know why i am not 100% with it. I will fix this first thing Monday
