hey there, I'm a critique from the #DisturbingArtHorror .
well to start off, the textures are incredible in this artwork, both a plant's and a human being's. those textures give the artwork this surrealistic yet figurative look.
second to mention is the whole content which reminds us that humans die at one point and lose our figure and then connect to the earth and become disable and static as a tree.
one thing that I suggest is to rotate the artwork so the man will seem as if he's laying down. that will give the artwork the feeling that he can't move anymore rather than standing - the beginning of becoming part from the ground.
I hope that I helped and good luck ^^

Excellent Z-brushing Markus. How long did you work on the model?

thanks, glad you like it, Anders. It did really not took too long. As you know the sculpting in ZBrush gets faster and faster from each update to the next one. This took maybe one or two hours, then detailing using alphas, drop everything to 2.5D canvas and sculpted the tentacles using the legendary snake hook brush.

This is great for many, many reasons. One being that it's moving, I literally went 'O_O' at the sight of your submission, I had to take a closer look. It gave me an instantaneous reaction, that's exactly what I define 'art' to be. Thank you for sharing, I enjoyed feeling this piece. It's beautiful/unusual/raw and... well, just great to look at.
Best.
