If it helps I hear (and personaly believe) he is still alive.

Also great image; I cant decide if he is hiding or is listening to his Obscurus whispering to him; it telling him its the only he can trust and it will never leave his side.

Thank you! Both are great interpretation. ^^ Feel free to decide which haha

Well Graves/ Grindelwald said it was nothing short of miraculous his Obscurus had not killed him at his age and Newt speculated his innate power was very high. So who knows; only hope and silent prayers to JK Rowling will answer the question.

Your welcome. Personal head cannon I think given his age the Obsurus has gone from being a parasite to a more symbiotic creature; Credence provides it shelter and in return it protects him from harm.

Personaly if I was not crap with people drawing I would draw something involving Credence, Tina and the Obscurus; because I have and Obscurus sized idea/ plot Bunny that has landed in my brain and it wont leave me alone.

yeah who knows. JK Rowling is full of surprises. I can't wait for the next one...

"head cannon"? I've never heard of that term before :v but I still don't quite get the idea of an obscurus....I mean its not a beast so what is it? like...can it think or live on its own or transfer to another person...

Draw it! You won't know until you try and if you fail, try again! ^A^ Just draw it. Show it to me if you've done it!

I know, where is a Time Turner when you need it ? The trouble here is unlike the Potter films Beasts has no book series to tide over until the next film.

I am not completely certain myself, but from what I understand its a terms to describe your own views in a story and how its might develop that is different from the acual plot.

From what I picked up on the film its a person's magic twisted and corrupted through repression; that instead of learning control the magic becomes wild and destructive; turning into an Obscurus. The way Tina and Newt talked about the Obscurs does seem like a separate entity from the host; lashing out at those who harm their host in a moment of extreame emotional stress. In other words its like having a real mad attack dog sharing your body. Also, and I am assuming its given Credence's age the Obscrus wont harm those the host cares about or who have shown the kindness. Sine Modesty escaped the outburst unscathed and the Obsurus started calming down when Tina approached and started speaking to him.

We shall se; all I know if I attempt this I need to dig the idea out; shape it and listen to track 14 from the film's soundtrack album until it hurts. Why do good ideas have to be so stubborn and yet so alluring?

Marlitza In reply to MantaDrifter [2016-12-05 11:20:08 +0000 UTC]

Haha yeah well a Time Turner is just too convenient for a good plot XD yeah ikr, we basically know nothing that's going to happen, unlike the potter movies making us more and more curious

I see...I'm not familiar with many terms haha
Seems like Credence can quite control it? And I'm starting to wonder where Modesty'll go...

Haha but its good having ideas than having none. Btw whats track 14 of the movie?

MantaDrifter In reply to Marlitza [2016-12-05 20:16:23 +0000 UTC]

I know and when its not killing you curiosity is still a very big knife in the back

I don't think with him its about control rather than its about an emotional response; considering what the boy has been through and the fact he was never taught his power responds more to emotion than will. Think about this; Modesty was the only one who was ever kind to him in the family and seeing her about to face Mary Lou's wrath was bound to be to much. That and when Tina showed up he was about to maul graves and accidently harm Newt he stops and the sound of her voice. After Graves betrayal Tina is the only other person to show he genuine kindness and more impotently not ask for anything back for that kindness. So of course that will have an impact on the boy when he is in full on rage mode.

I am also wondering where she will go to.

It is good to have ideas; the challenging part is getting them from the head to paper in one piece. Safe to say I am going to have to do some hunting with this one

Track 14 is called  "He's listening to you Tina" its from the part where Tina reaches out to Creadence near the end of the film.

Ouch haha but curiosity is one of the best part tho. makes us keep waiting and searching and speculating

Right, emotional response explains it... But he sure is strong if he can stand not killing Mary Lou since long ago for all the torture....

Ikr many times it just doesn't look as good as in the head. This thing needs lots and lots of practice to master..

Oh I should search on it because I can't recall the song at all haha...I rarely really pay attention to soundtrack...I just let it set the atmosphere

MantaDrifter In reply to Marlitza [2016-12-06 20:02:29 +0000 UTC]

Yep, a wise man once said all gifts come with a price..... though Rumple was talking about magic

Well there is a sense of familiar loyalty; we don't know what happened to his birth parents or how long he was with Mary Lou. Sadly, I have heard in cases like that the victims can see the abuse has normal behaviour. That's not to say it was not doing harm since the Obscurus's attacks seemed to coincide with each time Mary Lou hurt Creadence. Though from the damage that was said have occurred leading up to the film the obscurus was more than likely "venting" its anger for lack of a better word.

For me its more like trying to look at a masterpiece in a fog bank; I can see hints of something wonderful but it takes forever if at all to reach the final masterpiece.

Its a beautiful song and really captures the moment perfectly. It struck me to the guilt in Tina's eyes facing the Obscurus. She was feeling guilty for being unable to save him the first time around but that guilt has doubled with the realisation Credence is one of their own and is now, for a lack of a better term a monster because no one got to him early enough.

Marlitza In reply to MantaDrifter [2016-12-07 14:25:03 +0000 UTC]

Rumple?

Right. Credence must've had a hard time...we still don't know anything about Credence's past and family I hope those will be answered in the coming movies.. I'm kind of curious why he even ended up with Mary Lou

we need to find a way to break through the fog...

ah track 14 is so beautiful...it has a kind of sad and tragic melody... I agree, it captures the moment perfectly.
Now I want to listen to all of fantastic beasts soundrack haha

Rumplestilskin from Once upon a Time.

Well its just my opinion but the way Mary Lou talked about his mother gave me the feeling she was murdered and Mary Lou had something to do with it. Still whoever his true parents are its obvious Credence's family line is powerful given his age and the size of his Obscurus. Newt did say his power would have to have been strong for him to survive that long passed ten.

Has for the fog.... well lets just say I am working on it (Dons Persona 4 glasses)

To true, one could listen to it for hours on end.

Once upon a time is a movie...right? I don't know haha /A\

Yeah I think he may be from a strong and famous wizarding family...btw have they ever said anything about his age? I can see he's past ten but I don't think they've talked about his actual age... Not that its important I'm just kind of curious how long he's survived
Well good luck
Yep I'm going to download it haha

MantaDrifter In reply to Marlitza [2016-12-08 07:12:32 +0000 UTC]

Tv show actually; now in its sixth season.

They never did say anything about his age just that Tina pointed out he was not a child when Newt heared who the Obscurus was. I mean the actor is in his 20's but its not uncommon for actors to play roles younger/ older than their true ages. Still part of me wondered about that to.

Thank; me thinks I am going to need it (dodges an obscurus tentacle) Why do some ideas have to painfully shy.

Good luck downloading.

Oh I've never heard of it haha

Its not so relevant I think? But I'm just curious

Ideas are just so mysterious...its hard to search for one, but when it comes, it COMES.

Haha thanks?

Not many people seem to have, it flies a bit under the radar.

Well here's hopefull curiosity will be answered in the next few films.

(Looks at a grumbling idea in the corner) You don't have to tell me twice.

I meant the soundtrack for the film you did mention you were downloading it.

Yep of course

MantaDrifter In reply to Marlitza [2016-12-16 18:40:20 +0000 UTC]

Wow that is hard to explain without going into a long explanation so I will try and keep it brief.

Thanks to a curse various fictional charecters are plucked from their own world and imprisoned in the town of Sotrybrooke with no memory of their true selves and its up to the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming to break the curse. In the most recent season they are about to face the Black Fairy.

Me to, it helps with the drawing I am working on despite the hiccups of trying to draw people.

Marlitza In reply to MantaDrifter [2016-12-17 08:27:27 +0000 UTC]

wow that sounds like a really imaginative story full of fantasy I'm actually quite interested.

hiccups? XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MantaDrifter In reply to Marlitza [2016-12-17 10:41:34 +0000 UTC]

Its actually well balanced between fantasy in the modern world with much of the fantasy in the first season contained to flashbacks. A trick that at first makes the audience wonder if the curse is real and not the figment of the imagination of a small boy. Several episodes in though we get a coffin sized confirmation  of the reality of the curse in the form of the casket snow white was in after the incident with the poison apple.

Like I said I struggle with human shape and figures but its getting there slowly. Something like can not and should not be rushed.

Marlitza In reply to MantaDrifter [2016-12-17 12:06:49 +0000 UTC]

Oh so its set in the modern world... ? I think many fantasy stories are set in the past or in a completely different world. Oh and it combines many different tales eh? Snow white and all?

Ah yeah humans are haard to get right! The struggle is real. Lots of practice is needed. Lots and lots haha well good luck! ^A^

MantaDrifter In reply to Marlitza [2016-12-17 15:57:04 +0000 UTC]

Yep set in modern times and lots of different stories from Beauty and the Beast to the Wizard of Oz. They establish through the show that various genres of stories come from different world or realms. The Mad Hatter explained it best and I quote:

" How arrogant are you to think yours is the only one? There are infinite more. You have to open your mind. They touch one another, pressing up in a long line of lands, each just as real as the last. All have theier own rules; some have magic, some don't, and some need magic"

I know, hell until its coloured the easiest part might have been the Obscurus.

Marlitza In reply to MantaDrifter [2016-12-18 02:06:49 +0000 UTC]

Oh? So we have many worlds then haha I wish magic is real btw XD

Obscurus is all black but the form is hard. It's swirly and smokey(?) I just think its hard to get right haha

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MantaDrifter In reply to Marlitza [2016-12-18 10:03:26 +0000 UTC]

Yeh its a sort of multiverse in the show. They never explained how exactly the realms are connected but it is a cool concept.

I know its always shifting and changing into various states depending on the mood and situation; almost symbolic of untapped potential when you think about. It could have been anything had it not been repressed and twisted into its current state.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Marlitza In reply to MantaDrifter [2016-12-19 02:21:53 +0000 UTC]

Oh it is a good concept. How do they travel from world to world? Portals?

Yeah. It could've been beautiful. Magic can be beautiful when used right

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MantaDrifter In reply to Marlitza [2016-12-19 07:01:38 +0000 UTC]

It varies, there doorways and there are relics that can create portals. Magic beans for example are good methods for portal traveling.

I know and the streaks of red inside could be seen as either rage or the natural core magic ( like a persons aura) trapped within.

Marlitza In reply to MantaDrifter [2016-12-19 08:19:47 +0000 UTC]

Oh so imaginative

Streaks of red?

MantaDrifter In reply to Marlitza [2016-12-19 19:09:02 +0000 UTC]

I know

Well if you recall when the obscurus was rampaging near the end of the film there were streaks and flashes of read in its core before it was driven underground.
