NC was too harsh on this movie, but even though i like the movie, i also like the review.
Now he really nailed it on The Neverending Story 3, that film deserved every single insult said by the NC!

I'm probably going to get hate mail for this, but I really, REALLY hated this review!
I love the Nostalgia Critic, but his trivia felt off. I seemed to look up that this movie got positive reviews when it came out, and even though it bombed at the box office it still got it's money back from VHS sales.
Not to mention him criticizing the logic in the dream sequences of this movie didn't sound the least bit identifiable. I had dreams like those when I was a kid, and sometimes they randomly cut to illogical and sometimes scary moments. Not to mention there are times dreams can cut from one location to another and sometimes feel like you are waking up more than once.
But the main problem I had with this review was he did not mention critics and moviegoers actually liked this movie, not even once.
This is why his review of James and the Giant Peach felt more satisfying, I liked James and the Giant Peach but I liked the NC's review of it because because he at least addressed it and said "This film isn't really for me but I can see why it has an audience". This review on the other hand did not, making me think "Do you want to get hate mail Doug?"
It also doesn't help that people are eating this review up like it's one of the best reviews the NC has ever made and are calling the movie a piece of trash.
There's a word for what those people are, and they're called "Suck-Ups!"
Well who knows, maybe I was saying that out of first-viewing of this review and being too defensive about it, but it's been a couple of years since I've seen this review last so maybe I might give this another chance and maybe conclude with "Yeah this movie doesn't hold up anymore."

I loved that movie and the review made me laugh so hard. This time the NC made me laugh and Thank God! he didnt pissed me off like his review of Quest for Camelot. (The moving trees had no sense??? JESUS CHRIST!! Its a fuckin fantasy movie!!! no need to explain that)

Actually it needs to be explained, just because something was written FOR the children, it doesn't mean it was made BY the children, bad writing is a bad writing and plot-holes are plot-holes.

If your think moving trees in a fantasy film have no sense then why in Neverending Story are moving trees??, why in The Dark Crystal the plants move??, why in Super Mario the plants move??, why in super mario the mushrooms are moving?? EXPLAIN STORIES!! EXPLAIN!!
FANTASY!! DAH!! Fantasy has more freedom in creating. What do you think Quest for Camelot is?? A science fiction film?? Hope you get my point.

Yeah yeah yeah i heard that many goddamn times. Children has more intelligent brains to guess why the trees are moving and critics not. (No offense) Still i love the movie. Say it: the movie is a piece of shit, or a bad written plot. I dont care what the critics say i still love the movie. And Nostalgia Critic has no brain to know why some trees are moving. Like i said. ITS A FANTASY MOVIE!!!! And in my opinion those were not plot holes. If you want to see something with many plot-holes watch DRAGON BALL Evolution or Uwe Boll movie (Uwe Boll winned in 2009 as Worst Director and yes he is worse than Michael Bay) Uwe Boll's movies are an example of ASSness. And no, not only the story of his movies are bad, the screenplay in all of them is a painful headache, the characters are bad acted, the special effects are bad as crap, the action scenes are bad, the slow motion would embarras Zack Snyder and the music is just stupid. Nostalgia Critic should make a review of all that messed up films.

Just saw the episode... gotta say, for once, I disagree with the Critic. I watched this movie when I was very young and have always loved it. I just watched it a few months ago, and while it wasn't quite as good as I remembered, but it's still an amazing movie in my opinion. It'll always be one of my favorites. Still love NC, though.

To be quite frank, I loved this movie growing up. Any chance I gotten as a little kid, when my family and I went to the library, we rented this film.
Of course, it was taken out of circulation after one time until I found the movie on YouTube two years ago, and I was surprised to learn that the Sherman Brothers (who did the music for movies like Mary Poppins, Jungle Book, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, etc.) did the music for this film.
All in all, I managed to sit through the review without getting pissed or anything. To be honest, this review and the one before it seemed pretty tame IMHO when it came to tearing films limb from limb.
Now, then.....
I seriously wanna see the NC review The Black Cauldron! I really don't care if it's one of my top fave Disney films OR that it's not memorable enough! I wanna see him give his two-cents on the movie!
