When I stumbled across this movie looking for information about Tyrannosaurus Rex on Wikipedia and somehow ended up on the review page, I said to myself, no studio is that stupid!
It's like the director said, "Hey, how can we waste a lot of money trying to Cash in on Jurassic Park's success while raping the respectability of the Dinosaurs at the same time?"
...Hey that's how the existence of 'We're Back; a Dinosaur Story' came to pass, so I'm pretty sure it's the same deal.

My mother rented it free from the library, but looking at the crappy cover of the dvd, I watched my Silence of the Lambs dvd to get me calm before I watched the film. Lecter makes me calm when watching the film, so that was refreshing.

I once bought this for my younger cousin at the dollar store, mainly because it was his birthday, and I was low on cash. When I actually watched the thing with him, throughout the movie I was asking myself "What the hell is this, and who spiked my drink?"
