If you didn't know that the movie was based on an actual tragedy, you would think that the sinking of the ship was a fitting metaphore for this movie (Not trying to offend anyone, i just post this in case someone thought the joke was funny).

I loved that film as a child - but I still knew that it was exactly the same, but flipped. It's Cinderella mixed with Anastasia. But I loved the love song! *facepalm* What's wrong with me?

I saw that review. He was right. The only Titanic story in film form I really like is A Night to Remember. It tells the story, and leaves it at that. No mice, no crowbarred romances, just a decent and respectful retelling. But you really did capture the flavor of his review. good job.

It has this camp valiue. And unlike this one, in the prequel everyone survives...and it has a giant Mickey Mouse Octopuss and Sharks with tatoos and this bad guy who looks like Solid Snake.
Also, it's a movie, don't take it to seriously. I know that you love the Titanic, but this is not the craziest thing that the italians have done (also the prequel has no IMDB entry)

Well, it still is. It doesn't tell the truth as what really happend. First of all, sharks did NOT sink the ship, second, it forgets to add histrical people like Thomas Andrews or J. Bruce Ismay (which I hate the most), third, it steals certain things like Tenticles trying to save the ship making it look like 20, 00 Leauges under the Sea, and finally, none of the passengers or crew die.
They did not do their research. You can't make the Titanic disaster look like everything's all right. Why, I am waiting for this Italian film company to ruin some other disaster likes 9/11, Lusitania, Wihelm Gustloff, the bombing of Pearl Harbor or the Holocaust, each making fun. If they wanted to do a animated movie of Titanic, stick with Japanese anime because it will tell the truth.
The sequel is ever worse because it not only isn't historical it also goes off topic goofing off in the City of Atlantis. But the worse part is fixing up the Titanic and instead of drawing her, stealing one of Ken Marshall's paintings, it's unacceptable!!!
You have to understand that these two movies are not something that can poke fun of the Titanic legend.

Uhm, the octopuss sank the ship, not the sharks. Also there where 2 companies who made those movies, but none of the same people worked on those 2 movies. I admit, there are bad movies, but there's no real need to kicking a dead horse. Those movies are doomed from the start, noone will watch them just because of the premise and all the stupid stuff happening in the movie. The legend of Titanic has this Uwe Boll/Ed Wood camp quality, that's why I kinda liked it. But don't get me wrong, those are terrible movies.
