Description Heres how I was inspired to draw this.......
The other day my grandma saw when she yawned a tumor the size of a golfball in her mouth.... They took her to the hospital and removed it and she was recovering! Shes such a strong girl. I was happy for her and I was going to see how she was doing.
That night my dad got a call from grandma.... The doctor said she has a rare aggressive cancer.... Shes only got about a month left to live.....

I couldnt believe the news... How could it be? Since I moved here when I was about 4 she had been my best bud... Whenever I was at grandmas I'd sit on the floor and shed lay in my lap and fall asleep, When going for a walk we would be running as fast as I could lol, and when I'd sleep over shed lay in my bed with me, Id give her my leftovers when grandma wasnt looking... Whenever wed swim her and Shadow(hes passed) would snap at our swimsuits when wed jump in thinking we were drowing....

Its just not fair... I love her so much... I couldnt go to school without my eyes trying to hold in the tears.... When I saw her she was like she was in her second childhood. Shes deaf now and becoming blind...

How do you say goodbye?.... How do you tell them they arent gonna live very long and stay sane?... Its like you know but you just cant tell them but make it the best for them...

So on her last day... Ill hold her head in my lap.... Kiss her on the forehead.... and whisper "I love you" and pet her until she goes to a happier place..... Then Ill be alone......

I had two dogs, they got hit by vehicles, and the drivers didn't even stop to see if they were all right or not. Damn them!

I had someone with a similar story. IF someone hit my dog id be upset but I wouldn't dam them. I miss Abbey very much but I got a new dog shihtzu whos blind as a bat and not the brightest but since he needed me it helps me take my mind of her. But I miss her a lot.

SO SAD! I recently lost my cat, and my dog (though it pains me) is getting quite old... it's literally making me cry to think about it :') Pets aren't just animals, they're part of you and your family and anyone who says different is insane.

I went through the same... except my lil' one's cancer was all over her and nobody could do a thing... I took care of her for months. Saw the confident, loving creature waste away. When she looked at me with that hollow gaze I didn't know what to do. She'd wag her tail anyway.

Many wishes for Abby. It's heart warming to know that she did have a great time with a companion like you.

This made me tear up so much. I can't say that I know how you feel since I've never lost a pet before, but I do have a dog. She's about 7 or 8 and is probably the weirdest mutt in the world.Β 


You grow so attached to your pets that it feels as if they're your baby, and you want to protect them from everything.Β 


When my family first got out dog, she broke her leg and had to wear a cast for a month. I cried so much, even though I knew she'd be fine.

This piece truly captures the heartbreak of losing an invaluable and irreplaceable partner with whom you share fond and warm memories. One of the dogs I live with, her name is Riley, she and I have been buddies since we got her from a shelter 6 years ago. I still remember when she was a little puppy with big feet and a very uncoordinated run. She's 7 1/2 now, and starting to show signs of age. She still has a bit ahead of her, but this reminds me just how painful it will be when we finally have to part. However, she has had a good life, and I believe yours had too. That's what really counts. And as long as you keep them in your heart, they're still alive and there with you in essence. Never let go of those happy memories you had with your dog. One day you'll be with her again.

This is utterly beautiful and I am terribly sorry for what you, your grandmother and your family are going through.
This picture reminds me pf my dog who was poisoned by an angry neighbor. I held her in my lap thinking she was sleeping not knowing she was in a coma and going into organ failure. This picture made me want to cry but its so well done its like I can almost hear sniffling. You are a talent

I got a paw print of mine too and Karma got him. Swat raided his house a few months later, found nearly sixty fully-automatic guns and tons of drugs in his house. He's never getting out of prison. It was very satisfying.
