Description
Approx. 4' long, my largest project so far. Although it has only 40 or so pieces to it, so certainly not the most complicated. Made of laminated pine boards, some sections were left unsanded... didn't quite give me the effect I was hoping for. Definitely have a lot more learning to do.Related content

"didn't quite give me the effect I was hoping for" LOL, artists are always their own worst critics! This, of course is brilliant.

Are they fused together or is it like a puzzle?

How can people still hunt these magical creatures in a world where there is no need to eat them.

Most of them claims it's their "tradition", but I think it's just human greed.

If tradition means it's OK to drive any species to extinction, then there is something terribly wrong with them.

That's an incredible piece of work. How long did it take you to build that?

Reminds me a bit of the whale plaques often found in the Skyrim nordic dungeons.

Then again, anything with that general shape would remind me of it.

Super cool! love the attention to the lines of the wood and the tonality-- it almost gives the whale a sense of depth.

Wow thats amazing! my grandfather makes stuff like this all the time ... well alot less now that he is older but he can't keep still so hes shrunk it down to making wooden imaged pens and clocks
. I have a serious love for this kind of artwork because of him and it's not something you normally see on deviant art
so keep up the amazing work!
