For StarsDEN 's art contest

I am so happy I was able to finish this piece! This is StarsDEN 's character, Archana. I had originally tried to draw Hyla, but when I drew her she looked a bit too static. I think I ended up having more fun with this piece ^^ I drew Archana clasping her necklace tightly in her hands as the artist stated that she is always wearing it. I wanted to try and illustrate the significance to her.

I don't join in too many art competitions, but I figured, "Why not?" it's worth a shot! I had fun drawing regardless.

Something I learned after drawing this piece is that I really need to put more effort into drawing more detailed shoes. As I was drawing Archana, I realized how cute and detailed her shoes were and I think I'd like to put more effort into making cute shoes for my characters too. Not something I always think about when drawing.
