Fun fact: In early concept art for The Force Awakens, it seemed as though Jakku would’ve been a water planet instead of just being desert planet #45. Like, it’d still have wrecked Star Destroyers, but they’d be under the water. Rey would still be a scavenger so I figure we’d get a scene like this if that were the case.

If Jakku was an ocean world, I don’t think it would make TFA any less of a bland, hollow excuse for a movie but at least it’d be more visually interesting.
