Description
The nearby forest fell victim to a flood yesterday after a terrible storm. You decided to go for a swim now that the water has calmed down. You find that the view of the forest underwater is really cool, and dare you say it, beautiful.However, on your little swim, you hear a bubbling sound. When you look in its direction, you see her- a Miqo’te, who evidently had the same idea as you if the black-and-white striped bikini is any indication, has gotten herself stuck under a fallen tree. She’s struggling to free herself and hold her breath, and appears rather distressed. It doesn’t appear she’s noticed you.
So... what do you do?

I’ve seen some RP stuff in the past, and I figured I’d try something along those lines. Now I’m all for having fun, but let’s not get too explicit with your actions. I’ll shut you down if I think it’s going too far.

As he ate more slowly, he began to explain. "Well, I was grinding a special kind of stone to powder and mixing it with an herb that, when put under pressure, releases an oil. When the oil-drenched powder comes into contact with water and settles at the bottom, it begins to glow when it's in contact with metal. So, I figured it might be able to help us find the ring."

He smiled a little embarrassed. "Well... That's why I've been working on making that stuff since I helped you to bed last night. I wanted to make as much as I could. Definitely not enough for the whole Valley, but we can cover a lot of ground with what I made."

He blushed as he smiled at her. "Well... I know we've only just met. And I don't want to come off as creepy or anything. But... I don't really get along with people when it comes to conversation. I tend to start talking about my work or something that interests me, and most people don't really seem to like that. Or at least, they try and tolerate it. But when I talk to you... I don't feel like you're just listening to me to be nice. And you've never stopped me to say what I was talking about was boring. I think... I like you. A lot. The only ones who I've felt this way were... well... my family." His blush grew brighter as he kept talking.

He smiled and held her hand. "I wish you weren't in danger when we met, but I have never been happier than to hear you say you like me, too." He quickly gave her a kiss on the lips, a light peck before smiling at her again. "Although, maybe like isn't quite right when it comes to how I feel about you."

He smiled at her flirting, then went back to quickly eating breakfast. Soon, they were done eating and heading out the door back to the shore near where they had first met. "So, um, if we're going to do this search effectively..." He began to look a little uncomfortable. "...Do you know where your mother was... found?" He was clearly trying to word his question carefully so as not to upset her.

He stood and thought about it for a moment. "Hmm. We should probably head upstream a ways before using this. That way, it will spread out enough as it drifts downstream and give us our best chance to cover the opposite bank. Unless we have a boat, I don;t think we can get this bag to the other side." He hefted the bag he brought, clearly heavy.

Upon seeing her undress and reveal her bikini, he couldn't help watching her, almost entranced by her beauty. He soon realized he was staring and stopped. He pulled his shirt off, revealing his well built chest. He began to lead her upstream.

He looked at her, surprised. "R-Really? Are you sure? I was always taught it was rude to stare at a woman for too long." He clearly hadn't been in a romantic relationship before.

"Oh. Well, if you say so." He took the opportunity to to gaze at her beauty, take in every detail he could as he blushed and smiled at her. He suddenly realized something. "Oh. And you can look at me too, if you want."

"Uh, right. Let's keep going." Soon, they found themselves fairly far upstream. Matt got the bag open and grabbed a handful of dust from inside it. He invited her to join him in this.

He nods. "Try to toss it as far as you can. We want to make sure it spreads to the other side." With that, he threw the dust as far as he could. She could see it briefly as it was brought downstream, spreading out.

"Yep. But we'll need to empty the bag for the best results." He pointed to the bag, which still had a large amount of dust in it. He reached in and threw another handful into the water.

As she continued with him, she began to notice small sparkles in the water. Matt smiled at this. "Looks like the old prospector trick works. And if Mom was correct, once something has the dust stuck to it, any other dust will pass over it to find some other piece of metal."

He suddenly realized that as well. "Oh yeah. We might find gold or some interesting trinkets down there." He kept throwing more powder into the water and after about 15 minutes, the bag was now empty.

"Yep. Just be careful, okay?" He smiled at her as he stretched himself and watched as she stretched.

He jumped in and followed her, heading straight for a shiny spot on the bottom. The first spot he got to, he picked up what was shining only to find a bottle cap. He frowned, put it in his pocket, and continued searching.

After a few breaths, he turned to her. "Nope. Just a bunch of litter. But hey. We've only just started." He smiled, still confident they would find it. He then dove back down, ready to keep searching.

As Matt dove, he then noticed something shiny wiggling in the water currents. He swam to it and grabbed it. However, when he pulled it close, he found it was attached to a string. Upon pulling it, a net sprung up from under him and wrapped around him, effectively trapping him at the bottom. He panicked for a moment, then calmed down so as not to waste his air. He began to pull and tug on the net, trying to find any weaknesses or loose spots that would help him free himself.

He smiled at her, trusting she would help him. He let out a small stream of bubbles. He had been down for a little less than a minute, and while he was starting to feel pressure, he tried to remain calm. He kept testing the net as he looked around, hoping to find something sharp nearby.

When he saw Maki trying to chew through it, he knew she wouldn't be able to do enough to free him in time. He then noticed something very far off glistening in the distance. He tapped Maki on the shoulder, then pointed at the glistening thing in the distance, wanting her to see if it was anything useful.

As he saw her cutting the ropes of the threads, he tried to position it so she could more easily and quickly cut the net to free him. As he did, his cheeks began to puff out. He was clearly beginning to feel the pressure in his lungs as he let out some more bubbles.

As she swam back up, Matt reached through the hole in the net and grabbed the broken blade of the knife. He knew he wouldn't be able to do much being trapped inside the net, but he had to try. He began to saw at the thread Maki had started, finishing the cut and moving on to the next thread. He knew she would be back. He just hoped he could last long enough as more bubbles escaped his lips.

He was surprised by her kiss at first, then realized what she was doing and took in the air she was willingly giving. It helped quite a lot. He smiled at her and he continued to cut at the net, making the hole bigger. It wouldn't be too long until he was free.

Soon, the hole had been cut so Matt was able to pull himself out of it. Once through, he dropped the knife, smiled at Maki, and, noticing all her effort had brought her close to her limit, signaled for her to swim up. As she did, he was about to follow her when something stopped him. He looked back and saw the net had now wrapped around his ankle, trapping him. He looked up at the ascending Maki with desperation. He tried to call out to her, but all he got was a large stream of bubbles escaping. He covered his mouth with his hands, now beginning to reach his limit. He searched for the knife, but couldn't find it again.

Matt saw Maki begin her effort. He stared at her, silently begging for her to hurry as he let out more bubbles. He was barely able to hold on. Soon, even as she began to uncover the buried part of the trap, his vision was beginning to blur. He knew he didn't have much time left.

Matt tried to move his legs to help the two of them get to the surface faster. But before they could breach the surface, Matt's stamina ran out. He let out a large plume of bubbles as his consciousness drifted away. His final thoughts echoed through his head. "I'm... so sorry... Maki... I love you..." And with that, it was up to Maki to save him.
