Federation Starship USS Tereshkova, NCC 84211

Tasked with patrolling a critical sector of the Neutral Zone, the USS Tereshkova makes its way to a scarcely settled region. Few colonies were founded in this contested space, far from the core worlds of either power. Starships are rare in these parts, where every suspicious move or maneuver could lead easily to a diplomatic incident, or worse. Even those few ships on duty in these parts are discouraged form deviating from their course, under strict orders of not putting the treaty at risk. The nature of this assignment makes the journey along the frontier a tense undertaking. At times, it feels as though even the crew aboard is hesitant to raise their voices. The weight of history and the battles fought in this region are heavy on everyone's mind. No ship will remain here for longer than necessary, so close to the edge of the Federation's utopia.
