The cubs are gathering cans from the roadside, in order to collect the deposit (candy money!).The trio discovers a can that hasn't weathered well.
GENE: "You're the expert, Mubba. Can this one be redeemed?"
MUBBA: "Only if the barcode is readable"
GENE (realizing it's hopeless): "Uh. What if I drew one on it?"
I'm sure the boys will recycle the can anyway, even if they can't get any pennies for it.
