And, yes, I tried supplementing the color digitally. I'm no good at it, but I tried. ^^
Usually, with dark-furred characters, I use my Prismacolor blending tool ...but heck if I know where it is, so I sought a digital solution. The art looks bad either way, this is just a different kind of bad from my usual (enjoy!). ^^

I receive a lot of those, you know---and on DA, 'Mentions' look similar to 'X Liked a Comment' notifications (which I delete without reading).

Pencil...

Ok, the art's bad, but the pencil can be good, right?

Anyway, the featured pencil is indeed an antique: it's a tapered pencil---the very first of its kind featured in my gallery. :3
The wide end of this pencil has a rectangular stub on the top. This was the pencil's eraser, and is presently hard as stone. The narrow end of the pencil is the end you write with (a better look): sta.sh/0yd5p5jle52

This particular specimen is advertising 'White Rose Ceylon Tea". This tea, apparently, was (at least in 1903) sold in a unique box that formed some type of puzzle, as seen here (link tested 01/14/2023): www.woodpuzzles.com/Puzzles/T_…

Attributing a vintage to this pencil isn't easy. It's fair to say most any vintage, tapered pencil is going to be at least a hundred years old, and this one would be no exception.
Issue is, White Rose Tea used "The Cup Favorite" as a tag at least into the 1920s, but was using it as least as far back as (again) 1903, as evidenced by this newspaper clipping: sta.sh/0z8wpph5ju2

There is a White Rose Coffee House, albeit, it doesn't seem related to White Rose Tea.
