Description
What if Anakin would have won the fight against Obwan on Mustafar?What if Anakin went back to his Lord Sideous and killed him?
What if Anakin led the universe?
That's what led me to draw this. I thought it would be a cool twist on the star wars universe.

I would love a story where Anakin and Padme rule the galaxy, as emperor and empress. Luke and Leia would be the prince and Princess.

Just imagine Anakin abolishing slavery everywhere and changing the way the Jedi code works. Opening his own order that trains people with force abilities. Padme fixing corruption in the senate. But most importantly, they are happy.

I wanted to see the love story between Mara Jade and Luke Skywalker! The farmboy and the emperors hand. It was unfair for Luke to be single
But oh well. At least they are married in Legends. But it wouldβve been epic on the big screen!

Of course not. Disney is more concerned with pushing an agenda than making good movies.
Still, I am curious about one thing: if Mara Jade had been included into the Sequel movies as Luke Skywalker's wife, then who should play her? Obviously, they would need to be a redhead and be around the same age as Mark Hamill.Β

Thinking about it, one could just use Mara's original modeler, Shannon McRandle. After all, she knows the character well and is a few years younger than Mark (49 to 54).Β

It's kind of shocking they never followed this story concept in Dark Horse's Infinities series nor was Del Rey ever able to reach the 'Infinities' series of novels which would have been either Trilogies or on-going sagas involving alternate timelines and paths for the major Star Wars characters and events. I've always loved the idea teased in the Alternate Ending of the Revenge of the Sith video game adaptation where, if you play the game as Anakin, you defeat Obi-Wan after the infamous leap/flip and then murder the Emperor when he arrives on Mustafar, claiming control of the Galaxy.
Emperor Vader would then use his new found power and resources to save Padme and his children. Imagine a Leia raised as the first Princess of the Galactic Empire alongside Prince Luke, the 'Heir to the Empire.', alongside his childhood friend and future bodyguard Mara Jade? Anakin builds a new Order that's almost a cross between the Jedi and the Inquisitors. Makes the Imperial Military even more technologically superior and aggressive and so on and so on. Who would be the new heroes? New villians? Could you imagine if Han Solo was like a Smuggler King? Boba Fett an Agent of the Empire? Oy, I'm getting light-headed just thinking of the potential...

I always thought it'd be cool if Maul ended up in Vader's place. I have this image of Lord Maul with an army of clone troopers storming the Jedi Council.

Alternate ending of ROTS for PS2.Β Would have liked to have seen a SW infinities based on that.
Kinda hate what they've done with canon now.Β Nerfing: Mara Jade, Kyle Katarn, KOTOR 1 & 2, Revan and Meetra Surik, SWTOR, the Legacy series, the knight errant series, exar kun, and most of all nerfing the rule of two and relegating Bane to an insignificant figure.Β
But perhaps if we wait long enough...since Disney owns Marvel... perhaps they might get the hint of making alternate SW universes based on the scenarios.Β Not holding my breath, though.Β I don't frown upon other fans for liking the new direction but I'm just not following it personally.
So I like it when I see works such as yours.Β Outside the box but still adherent to an aspect of the canon, in its own way.

Somehow I get the feeling that this would've happened even if he DIDN'T turn to the Dark Side right away.

My theory is that if Anakin allowed Mace Windu to kill Palpatine (or Anakin killed Palpatine himself while still on the Light Side), the threat of the Sith would be gone... at least for a while. Anakin would still turn Dark Side, but for different reasons.

But soon after the death of Palpatine, the senators of the Republic will go into complete outrage (they would still be oblivious to Palpatine being the Sith Lord behind the war). They would believe that a Jedi did indeed assassinate Palpatine. But it wouldn't be just any Jedi. They would suspect that it was a Jedi that Palpatine was particularly close to: Anakin Skywalker.
If it was Mace that killed Palpatine, the senators would still believe it was Anakin Skywalker who was responsible for the Chancellor's death. The Republic and the CIS would form a temporary alliance for the sake of killing the Jedi Order (The Great Jedi Purge in a different version. Imagine the droids and clones marching on the Jedi Temple).
However, during the time when information of Chancellor Palpatine's death was being leaked, I also suspect that Anakin's relationship with Padme Amidala would also be exposed with this. This would more than likely lead the Jedi Order to dismissing Anakin from the Jedi Order completely, despite him exposing Palpatine as the Sith Lord behind the Clone Wars. Whether or not this would have him leaning closer to the Dark Side is anyone's guess. However, during this time that Anakin is kicked out of the Jedi Order, I believe Obi-Wan Kenobi would go into exile himself alongside Anakin, considering how close they are. The reason I think Obi-Wan would do this was because although Anakin was the one who exposed Palpatine's conspiracy, the Council expelled Anakin for a misdemeanor that would be considered minor in the face of what Anakin helped the Jedi do.Β
Despite being expelled from the Jedi Order, Anakin has quite a happy life on Naboo with Padme, his children, and Obi-Wan. He and Obi-Wan grow up teaching Luke and Leia in the ways of the Force all the way into their early teens. Soon enough, the Great Jedi Purge (the one stated above) happens. Despite their statuses as expelled and exiled, Anakin and Obi-Wan join the fight to save the Jedi Order.
During the fight, Obi-Wan falls dead right in front of Anakin. In turn, it leads Anakin going into a killing rampage, slaying every clonetrooper and droid like he slayed the Tusken Raiders on Tatooine. Anakin carries Obi-Wan's corpse back to Naboo and his family all have a beautiful funeral service for him. Anakin, however, deeply resents the Jedi and sees them as responsible for Obi-Wan's death.
Later on in life, Anakin receives vital information on the whereabouts of the Separatist leaders from another exiled Force-user: Asajj Ventress. He and Ventress then travel in secret to Mustafar and spearhead the Separtist cause once and for all, severely slowing the efforts of the Great Jedi Purge.
After the Republic senators find out about this, they orchestrate an assassination attempt with Republic Commandos to kill Anakin Skywalker once and for all. However when they attempt it, the clones kill Padme instead. Anakin has R2 and C-3PO (along with Captain Typho, Padme's most trusted bodyguard) escape with his children off-planet while he finishes off the forces single-handedly. When the fighting is done, Anakin takes the charm that he gave Padme so long ago from her body.
Anakin, now having lost Padme, becomes fully immersed with the Dark Side. He then goes back to Coruscant and kills the newly elected Chancellor of the Republic and becomes the Emperor, reorganizing the Republic into the Empire. Anakin then continues the Great Jedi Purge and searches for wherever his children may have gone. And of course, with no other existing Sith, he titles himself Darth Vader.
(As for my theory on what happens to bring Anakin to the Light Side again... that's another theory I'm working on.)
