I have not tapped into any personal emotion in my art work in a long time. I used to create poetry that went with certain peices every now and then. But recently, I have not been able to. Ironicly, I have had one of the worst weekends I have had in a long time and on friday, this came out of one of my sketches. I couldn't stop until I finished it and once I did, I saw what I really wanted out of my life. What makes things really gel for me. It's funny. This may not be one of the most correctly rendered illustrations I have done. But it is one of my favorite.Related content

I don't think stunning fully defines it. Its absolutely well for lack of a better word super-cala-frag-ulistic! I know its a stupid way of saying it but its beautiful! I have to ask though, what does the writing say? Its driving me nuts!

Thank you very much for your kind comments. I really like this piece. I would go back and re-illustrate it to make it technically sound but that would kill all of the emotion out of it.
The writing is from a song by Bjork called Joga. It pretty much sums up how I feel about my wife, and how she relates to my life.
The words on the illustration are as follows:

Its beautiful! Thats so awesome, how you feel about her. It makes me somewhat jealous. I'm not a mind-reader but I wish I knew what my fiancee thought and felt about us. Your piece is very emotional and it speaks to and of the heart. Words aren't really neccessary(msp?) the image truly speaks for itself. I've noticed that you and her, I'm assuming, collaborate on the comics and I think that it wonderful. Its nice to have a partner in life who shares similar talents. My poor fiancee can barely draw a stick figure let alone help me write out a plot and storyline.

Glad you like it. Our book, Jetta, is really a love story. Behind the martial arts and action, the book shows how love can effect a person for good or evil. That's for the complement again.

Is Jetta a book or a comic? Can I buy it at Barnes & Noble? I'm a sucker for love stories, and when you add action I'm practically hooked! I know I've commented a lot but its kinda hard not to when you like something. Gee I sound like a loser.

I love to talk about my book so no worries.
It is a graphic novel series. So, it is a comic book just longer. They are upwards of 64 pages or more. They are not in Barnes and Noble. But you can get the from our site at [link] . I also have some free web stories online that I know that you will like at the site. Check out this link [link] and go to the story called "The first time". It is an awesome story and sums up the relationship between the two characters. Tool around the site afterwards and check out the graphic novels in the store as well.
I did study art in school. But I did not really take any formal classes until I was in college. I got all of my computer skill from there. But I have always illustrated.
