Ghost in the ShellThis is Motoko Kusanagi. My most devoted obsession, and something I haven't drawn in a while. I'm going to be coloring this, like most of my other recent works, sometime soon in a bit of a different fashion, considering that the hard texture doesn't quite have the GitS-esque ambience that I want to get with this.
This was drawn when I myself a few days ago wished I could be sunk in a water that could cleanse away unease and stress, so I guess it's far more than just a doodle. Even though not a lot of planning happened, the outcome was very personal and strong in my own eyes.

Thank you! I'm going to be making one of her underwater sometime soon. I mean to make it a portrayal of her love for scuba-diving, and she's going to be nude, staring up into the sky, like she did in the movie before she was shot! I truly want to make her look like she's reached a new life or door of existence in it! It'll be a challenge, but I'm really excited!

This looks pretty cool. I like the whole, 'Coming out of the water' idea, trying to wash away your troubles. And I also like the little effects of the water dripping off her hair.

Thank you. I really enjoyed making this one. Not only, but I have a similar love for water like she does ( You hear about it in the film ), so I knew exactly how to trasfer the slow drip of the water that I find so calming, from my mind to the page.

Of course you know I'm only kidding! Thanks a ton. I really liked the way the body looked too. It wasn't perfect, but instead, natural. Perfection : Not only impossible, but overrated!
