This is a lovely piece of art.
I'm trying to figure out what would/will/can/could happen in the background. So, this is a dockbay. When a space craft comes from space, some kind of maglock door shut, atmosphere is restabilished. The circle can rotate, and i think it can lift, but not too high. Or, if has some kind of EM field that stop/slow the craft after it enter on the station, the atmosphere can be restabilished before the ship itself land.

I quite like this piece, if your sci-fi universe has it's own version of an environmental forcefield, I can see a few of them being placed inside the flight path to the bay with a heavy door.
As for the landing pad itself, I assume it can rotate to re-orientate the craft?

Thank you. Yes, the idea was for the circle part of the landing track to be able to rotate.
