Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you... Ampere!Brought to life by the awesome , Amp is an OAC (Original Amalgam Character) of mine, who I really wanted to see fleshed out, and I must say, aeolus did an awesome job
!Now, for those of you who don't know, Amalgams are characters made from two (or more) existing characters from both DC and Marvel comics, who were fused together to create one whole new being with a remembered past in the Amalgamverse. In the case of Ampere, she is a fusion of DC/Milestone's Static and Marvel's Stature.
The result, Cassie Ophelia Hawkins, teenage superheroine and member of the Young Syndicate (a fusion of the Runaways and the Blood Syndicate)! Her powers are a mix of Static and Stature's, allowing her to grow/shrink to any size and manipulate electromagnetic energy for a variety of affects. When she's not stopping crime or hanging out with the other Syndicate members in "The Underground," she's usually surfing the train-tracks and powerlines of Dakota City, parkour-style

For this commission, I wanted to see her team up with Static and Aeolus' own OC, Voltage. Needless to say, the result was nothing short of incredible!

The concept and design of Ampere is my own, based off characters owned by DC and Marvel Comics.

Well, comic-book terms, "amalgam" refers to the aftermath of the DC vs Marvel intercompany crossover, where at one point the universes were fused together to ensure they wouldn't both be destroyed. This created an entirely new world, where heroe from both Marvel and DC were combined into singular entities with new names and new appearances, while having elements from both encorporated into their design and origin. For example, Wolverine was fused with Batman to create "Darkclaw", Superman and Captain America were combined to create "the Super-Soldier", Wonder Woman and Storm became "Amazon", and so on.
This new universe still exists in comic-book continuity, and is shared by both Marvel and DC, still being called the "Amalgam Universe." Its residents are called "amalgams" by extension (at least in the fan-base).

the original meaning of the world amalgam is precisely for the mixture of two different metals, which makes them usually more resistant

I recently saw his stuff and loved it. Have you seen some of the flash game pics I put up. I found a batman beyond, sonic, and sailor moon game and made my own doll. Yosh! It took a while for me to figure out how to use that damn crop button but I did! hah! i even got a few favs on them ^^

We know he's not leaving. Recovering from a bad mission is like recovering from an injury or a cold. You need to give the wound time to heal before you can get back to business as usual. Kaldur' just needs a break after the "disasterous mission," so he can get his head cleared and realize that even though they may have messed up this time, they can learn from this experience and better themselves in the future.
