dont know how many people actually knows this 2 series, but hrnghhh~~ //sold my soul for this mangaka ((both series are from same author btw)) ;w; ♥
& for those who knows both series, just think of this as an Assassination Classroom AU where everything's the same except Koro-sensei was replaced by Neuro >w>;;; (plus, throws in Sasazuka as well cuz yes I can /gross sobbing)
^ actually saw this "AU" in my dream last night, & I just hv to draw this out >w>)b
gosh it was fun (more to nostalgia? pfff) to draw something thats not related to Nation, plus-- I miss drawing Neuro ;w; ♥

what Neuro said are lit. what he told (aka: introduced his name) to Yako when they met for the first time in the manga
while what Karasuma said there are also lit. what he told the Class E students when he introduced Koro-sensei to them - the only very slight differences that I put in here is that Karasuma asked them to "help the demon" instead of to "kill the monster"

You know they're both made by the same guy, right? And Matsui worked as an assistant for Yoshio Sawai when he was making Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. You can kinda tell Matsui's work is QUITE influenced by that. XD

Yup, I know! Matsui is one of my fav mangaka! I love his drawing style it's so... I don't even know how to say that in English! It's different from all I can see! And I always laugh when I read his books

I also love how his works pretty much break genre. Neuro is basically a detective manga, but there's also so much more to it.
And I don't even know what to define AssClass as. XD Like seriously, that's MASTERY right there, being able to make such an awesome manga with no real defined genre.

altho they didn't actually messed up the anime vers. of AnKyou, I still like the manga vers. better, since the anime even skipped out a few stories that focused more on the students (the anime's all about Koro-sensei's), n that's just sad because the students are important in the stories too D:

as far as my brain could remember, there were at least 2 stories that centered around the students that got skipped (probably more, but only 2 I could think out atm) :Y
so yeah.... like every other animes based from mangas that ever exist, the manga's story will always be better =w=
the thing the anime could ever offer is their voice actors - & you are a fan of those stuffs, otherwise, I'll still vote for the manga XP
also, not sure if you know, but the "detective-story loving" student, Fuwa, shares the same voice actress as Yako >w< ♥

YASS this is why i always prefer reading manga instead of watching anime-- but of course I'm actually also a voice actor person lol so sometimes I would still watch the anime if i'm not too lazy x'D but most of the time I watch the things I read so doesn't make much of a difference 8')

like how despite they messed up the MTNN anime, I just cant help but to keep re-watching it because I love Neuro's VA (he's my absolute bias when it comes to voice) >w>;
yeah she's simply a minor supporting chara, so far, unfortunately ;w;
but the ep. where she mentioned she loved detective stories (she hinted to Detective Conan tho), I just can't help it when Nagisa cut in, like, "What about the one from Jump??", with the BG showing both Neuro & Yako
or how when Koro-sensei multiplies himself to teach the students? among his "cloned shadow" you can actually spot him cosplaying as both Neuro & Yako as well (which was not shown/drawn as such in the manga, so it was a plus side from the anime)

when I went to study at Japan on year 2006, the very first anime I watched while I was there is Gintama, & he's voicing one if the character there. I was so blown by his voice (esp. the way that chara chuckled), I start to look for other animes where his voice appears, including re-watching many ol' anime that I used to watch in dub just for the sake of his voice; then MTNN anime happened in 2007 - n I was, like, yooo!! this! this is what I want from his voice (I actually watch the anime first before start reading the manga) -- cant believe its been almost 10 years since I hv this obsession over his voice >w>;;
I'm more active at DA as well xD altho I kinda devide which of my fandoms goes to which sites >w>

I followed AnKyou since its first chapter, but i was obsessed over it that i couldnt wait for updates-- so I looked for the mangaka's other work and found MTNN in 2012.... then finished reading 200 chapters in 3 days HAHHAHAHA i am so obsessed over this mangaka alkdjf;;;
although when i watched the anime, i was sad with the overall animation and story orz

Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro. It literally means Demon Detective Neuro Nougami, but it's been officially translated as Neuro: Supernatural Detective. The title, anyway. There isn't an English dub for it.
My personal favorite however, is the fan-translated title of Private Evil Eye Neuro Nougami. Sounds cooler. XD
Also, Neuro and AssClass were both made by the same guy, Yusei Matsui. He even worked as an assistant for Yoshio Sawai, the guy behind Bobobo-bo Bo-Bobo! And it SHOWS. XD

it's about a demon name Neuro who comes to the human world to feeds on mystery/puzzles created by humans, for those release negative energy from their planned crimes/murders, which is the source of Neuro's life energy of sort.
The story begins with Neuro making a deal with a female high schooler name Yako whose father has just passed away very recently, in exchange of solving the mystery of her father's death, Yako have to help Neuro in solving crimes (aka to feed Neuro) by becoming a detective
so yeah, its more to supernatural-ish detective story than ordinary crime detective stories XD
the title itself, Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro, lit. means "Demon Detective Nougami Neuro", with his "family name", Nougami, also lit. means "brain eater", for its one's brain who created the plot of crimes to begin with ;D
I really recommend this manga tho (the anime kinda messed up the story from the manga, unfortunately), so if you have time, should try to read it ;w; ♥
