As a child I read many fantasy books and really believed it could all, possibly, be real. I wanted to believe that for the rest of my life - I suspect many people have felt like this.
As you become older you learn, and one of the worst things you learn is the way the world really is. It's not how you want it to be. It's not magical. It's not a fantasy.
So as you grow older, you see the reality of things and you try to make things seem more magical, more beautiful, dramatic.
You try to escape.

This was meant to be a photograph of the glittering raindrops on my window from an angle that made them look so lovely. Turned out completely different of course.
