Show-accurate versions of Gaffer (left) and 8-Bit (right), Shining Armor's high school friends as introduced in MLPFIM #11 comic. (I'm guessing a bit on the details of Gaffer's cutie mark but it looks like an 8-sided die to me from the current preview pages Andy Price confirmed on Twitter that Gaffer does have an 8-sided die, so all is good

I would like to think they are all still friends but just don't see each other frequently. Poindexter's moved to Ponyville (per show), and there's headcanon going around that 8-Bit is Button Mash's father.

8-bit is the first pony other then pipsqueak in the show I've seen with 2 colors in his coat. I hope we see more ponies like him in the show.

Actually, the two-color-coat pony is Gaffer (the unicorn). But yes, this seems to be only the second two-tone coated pony in official FIM media.

The end of the last season suggests that Princess Luna is a two-tone coat as well! (Notice that the darker area on her flank DIDN'T disappear along with the crescent moon shape when she transferred her powers to Twilight?) That would technically make her the first, Pipsqueak the second and Gaffer the third.
