Cheers mate! Love me some shortcuts. Is their a way to have smaller sets of brushes? I've downloaded so many and only use a few and it takes me ages to find my few standard ones.

I got ya covered man, you can create a couple of different set to put into your brush library then switch between them at your leisure from the settings menue, I think this should cover it www.myjanee.com/tuts/brushmgmt…  there's is a brush wheel that I saw on a tutorial one that had a bunch of brush selections on it but I've never founds out how to get it myself, if I ever find this mystical setting I'll get you in on the big secret.

I know a good way to add colour to a greyscale type drawing I know in this tut:    she uses markers as a greyscale base but you could paint out values/shadows/plan highlights with grey shades in photoshop and then overlay the colours on separate layer using a layer style of "multiply" or I think "Overlay" is the other that works. After laying down base colours you could then overpaint and work up the shadows and highlights using the eyedropper tool and painting in your own colours C:

I have seen a couple of pro painters use this technique just to layout where shadows will fall and get the values set before focusing on colour and reflected light and atmsopheric light and all that technical stuff. I don't know whether that was something that you may be looking for but you may want to try it out for fun C:

I simple love this piece as well C: the texture that you have created is really freaking nice you're so loose with a brush and not afraid to keep texture in without overworking too much C: I just adore the character design as well so unique! Great work
