You're welcome. I can see why it's tricky. Does it give him any new abilities (like a longer reach with that arm when stretching, claws, etc)?

The skeletal arm is naturally longer than the other one and is equipped with claws so it can swipe and grab things at a greater distance. In exchange, however, its structure is very sensitive so it cannot transform like the non-skeletal one can.

Ok. The fragility stinks, so I'd rather have it for my non-dominant hand. Can it regenerate, though?

It's more that it's structure is so stiff that changing shape would be like trying to fold glass. Yes it can regenerate but it's not as perfect a process as with a normal Diamondhead/Petrosapian.
