Description At the bottom right :"In the breeze's trail was a Butterfly"

I just had a few days ago, very suddenly, the idea of this posture....I roughed it on a piece of paper and began to think of what doing with it.....then as it was reminding me a diving/floating pose, I thought of drawing a ninja...........I had an idea for the bg, very vaguely, and then I thought : what could justify such a dive in the sky. Then I tought a butterfly as a detail somewhere in the piece would be fine .....;and finally it occurred to me that the Butterfly could be the character himself: beautiful, colorful, free and light. I had no special idea as usual and I drew the outfit and details little by little, as ideas were coming to my mind. I'm even surprised I drew this so quickly.....I had so many old roughs I had to draw first, and it appeared that this one was made before the other. lol.....there's really no logic with me.

I like the idea of a fantastic world in which each elements: butterfly, flower, water, etc etc would be representing by a character. However I don't know if I'll draw other arts like this.

Photoshop CS. 8 hours or so. No ref

I see what you mean, but the contrast is not that much since the brighters areas of the blue and orange are not together at all. Like in the sky, the orange and blue touching have a low saturation which makes them work fine

This... is really cool. The pose is very interesting. I don't think I could ever draw from that angle. T_T You did a really good job. Her outfit is cool. It'd be nice if we could see her outfit from a more regular angle too though. xD Not that I'd make you draw something so involved again, and in a much less interesting way.

Lol...it could be interesting, you're right but I don't know if I fell courageous enough to draw it from a facial angle...

Really ? But I didn't find inspiration from Zelda.....I even don't know much about Zelda's game and universe... I don't play games

Fair enough. I don't really play games either, not much. But there's this one fairy (not nearly as lovely as yours, by the way) who will emerge from her sacred fountains in a pose nearly identical to what you've drawn here.

I love the pose and the butterfly pattern on her body. The colors are very bright and lively. The little butterflies around her are nice as well. Great job!

Oh my gawd O_O

This piece is insane
There is a great choice of colors, they are not dull and amplify this flying feeling, by being very lively. Amazing details also, it's incredible how every part of the picture is well defined and clean. The blured background was a good idea. It really put the emphasis on the women. The words on the bottom are very descriptive of the situation. You did some typography just to figure the butterfly picture effect even if we weren't looking at it.

If you say that you had no reference, the it's quite impressive how much you cam come with imagination. It's perfect representation of an inner world that ask to fly and be free even by incarnating another creature. And what is marvellous about this is that you let your imagination speak for itself

Great (what am I saying) Marvellous work and you deserve that favorite a thousand time more

(sorry f it is a repost)

Rare constructive comments? That's very sad...

Well your color choice represent some different thing by it's own choice. Even if it is unusual, it give a grat life to it. For example This pic [link] is not what i'd call the happiest. but the colors by being so saturated really give a happy impact (it is pretty close to your picture in color). To go more vintage will be shades of grey not too contrasted with maybe red being a more proheminent color etc etc etc.... I don't hink it hurt the eyes too much, although it is creating a big contrast with 2 different elements divided 3 different colors and force it away from neutrality which is probably why you feel it out of place and hurt your eyes .

Anyway all is not done only by color, like I said pretty much everything you drew was picture perfect (for my taste at least) the pose is giving this feeling of levitation or hanging in the air. Working from there i can see what you did.

Glad to be of help

Thank you so much for giving your opinion about it....Constructive comments are a bit rare nowadays The blur background as you say, is a habit of mine.....My bg are almost always very pale...it's just to give an idea of the general atmosphere, they aren't SO important.
However...I've got some difficulties to accep well this combination of very fresh colors: orange, green and above all, this BLUE...omg....that's really not commun to me...XD....
It hurts a bit eyes

I love the pose you came up with....very unique in its own style. I envy how you did the womans hair...its so beautiful in the wind almost realistic. Anyways nice job keep up the good work.
